Here is a list of some of the major attractions around Villa Samayra with a little brief about them and why you should visit them.

Chaweng Beach

Chaweng Beach offers great swimming and plenty of water sports, as well as dining and accommodation options. It has a fun, holiday atmosphere during Koh Samui’s high seasons, with many sun-seekers lounging on the sand. It’s not the most secluded or peaceful of Samui’s beaches, but everything you’d want is within a few metres of your sun lounger, such as cold drinks, snacks, and massages. On the whole, Chaweng Beach offers similar services and ambience along its entire length. If you’re visiting for the day, just walk down from the beach road at any point, find a spot to relax, and lay down your towel. This majestic 5-km-long crescent is bordered by rocky headlands on either end, with an offshore reef and the tiny island of Koh Matlam to the north.
The best spots for swimming and water sports are in the southern and middle sections because these have the deepest water.
It is perfect for young children at the northern end because the water can be quite shallow and there is a reef just offshore.
Go to Chaweng’s southernmost point on the ring road going in the direction of Lamai if you’d prefer a more tranquil option.
The least busy beach is a unique little segment of sand called Chaweng Noi.
Along the shore, it also boasts excellent swimming.
In order to avoid dangerous currents at specific times of the year, be aware of red flags before going for a swim. Chaweng Beach is generally better place to go swimming. You might need to locate a hotel pool to cool off in when the weather gets warm during the hot season.
Some resorts on Chaweng’s beachfront will rent sun loungers and umbrellas to visitors who aren’t staying there if they aren’t residing at one of their hotels. You could also simply grab a towel and stake out a sandbar. Don’t forget the sunblock because it can be attempting to determine shadows during the hottest parts of each day.

Angthong National Marine Park

With stunning vistas and scenery, a variety of wildlife and marine life, and white-sand beaches, Mu KO Ang Thong National Park truly is the idyllic tropical paradise you had envisioned. This National park aloows you to experience nature all around at its best.
Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park is a marine national park located in the Gulf of Thailand at the shore of Surat Thani Province and it consists of 42 islands that covers a total of 18 km out of the total 102 km which is the total area of the park, it was established in 12 November 1980 and is registered as a Ramsar site by the Ramsar Convention and hence is recognized as an important wetland.
Some of the flora includes Barrington fusiformis, Calophyllum inophyllum, Thespesia populnea, Dracaena Loureiri, Morinda sp, Thong Lady’s Slipper Orchid which is a species only found in this park and many more. Fauna in these islands are rather limited to 50 species of birds, 14 reptiles, 16 mammals, and 5 amphibian species. These include creatures such as sea turtles and pythons.
The Ang Thong National Park experiences strong winds during November and December hence it is closed during these months, the seas are calm and the weather hot and perfect between the months of February and October which would be an ideal time for a visit to the park. We suggest you to avoid the park in January as it is overcrowded.
You can book and make arrangements at the headquarters at Ko Wua Ta Lap, there are hotels in the nearby islands Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. Dara Samui Beach Resort & Villa located in Koh Samui is rather popular and provides a comfortable stay, Samui Natien Resort is also located in Koh Samui and provides adequate lodging and is a bit cheaper, Lotus Friendly Hotel in Koh Samui is a very cheap but also a very good place for lodging.

Big Buddha Temple

Koh Samui’s beautiful coastline and renowned Big Buddha sculpture will be the first thing you will notice as you approach the island from the air. This majestic 12-metre tall golden statue sits on an elevated platform, adorned with dragons and traditional decor that visually dominates the landscape.
This beautiful structure was built in 1972 within the Phra Yai Temple complex, which is located on a small island located towards the northern border of Koh Samui, Thailand.
Many travelers visit the Big Buddha as a part of a tour and join the locals in lighting incense to make offerings and pray in front of the sitting Buddha. And when the sun sets, the Buddha lights up and appear as a sparkling golden guardian.
At the base of the Buddha, there is a meditation centre and a small market place; featuring stalls selling religious souvenirs, hats, t-shirts and many other items. You can also dine here as the area is lined with traditional Thai restaurants, offering a variety of food to cater for every taste. Also, if you venture beyond the temple, you will see the Big Buddha Beach.
The beach boasts a quiet and laid back atmosphere and is close to the famous Chaweng beach. Visitors can easily access Chaweng beach’s nightlife and entertainment zones from the Big Buddha beach pier and you can visit Big Buddha at any day of the week. However, due to religious ceremonies, the area becomes very crowded on Sundays. This is because a number of Thai visitors come to enjoy the music sessions at the Secret Garden.

Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks

Grandfather’s and Grandmother’s rocks, where “Ta” stands for Grandfather and “Yai” for Grandmother is another name for Hin Ta Hin Yai.
Visit the fascinating rock formations for the breathtaking ocean views.
Funny enough, the most photogenic and flirty people I’ve ever encountered are Chinese!
This is due to the peculiar shape of the rock formations, which resembles both male and female genitalia.
If it’s one of the matters you couldn’t’ leave out at the same time as on Koh Samui, I could really say no. You’re now no longer lacking out on something fantastic in case you haven’t been to this area. It’s a humorous spot and the view is stunning, there are even some rock swimming pools in which you could loosen up in. But there are a long way extra stunning spots on Koh Samui. It’s only a cool area to tick of out of your Koh Samui itinerary!

Na Muang Waterfall

The magnificent Na Muang Waterfalls on Koh Samui demonstrate that the island’s beauty extends beyond its beaches. The Na Muang falls are about 12 km inland from Nathon Bay and can be reached by walking along a path that leads from the park’s entrance.
The first waterfall, Na Muang 1, empties into a lovely natural pool where visitors can cool off from the heat. The smaller, equally inviting Na Muang 2 is located about 30 minutes’ walk further uphill.
Nearly halfway between Nathon and Lamai Beach, the Na Muang Waterfalls are located in a lush jungle setting and are easily accessible just off the main ring road (Route 4169). The falls are accessible on foot for visitors who are in reasonable physical condition. It’s important to wear sturdy shoes and use caution when walking on the tracks leading to the falls because they can be steep or slippery in some spots. From the parking lot, it takes 100 metres to get to Na Muang 1, while Na Muang 2 is another 100 metres away and requires more effort.
Despite the fact that access to the waterfalls is free, there are plenty of opportunities to spend money along the way, including a number of stands selling snacks and souvenirs and offers for a guided tour of the region (but be wary of touts trying to convince you that a guide or entry fee is required). You could swim, hike, explore, and picnic at the falls for the entire day. It’s a calm and relaxing substitute for the beach.

It is also a great place to take romantic portraits in front of the picturesque scenery with your loved one(s) and has a covered pavilion with some seating.Over the past few years, Lad Koh has grown to be one of the most well-known tourist destinations in Koh Samui.
